BI ANALYST
JOB OUTLINE:
Based: Within commuting distance of our Theale office
Working Schedule: Hybrid - 1 day a week in the office
Working Hours: The incumbent will need to be flexible with hours to accommodate the global nature of the role – there will be calls with regions around the world, including but not limited to Japan and the USA (West Coast). In return, the company will offer flexibility to ensure a good work-life/home-life balance

THE POSITION:
The purpose of this role is to support the FP&A Manager, who in turn supports the CFO, in coordinating global sales & operations through data driven decision making. Roland is implementing a data-driven approach to global business insights, reporting and decision making. You will support the FP&A Manager in driving this initiative to deliver robust and efficient reporting and analytics by creating and enhancing global reporting and ad hoc analyses in the company’s BI tool, MicroStrategy.
We would like our Business Intelligence Analyst to be someone who has a strong interest and enthusiasm for directly supporting business stakeholders with data analytics and who takes pride in producing innovative and quality work. We are looking for someone to become a company expert/go to person in MicroStrategy, helping others benefit from our data.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
BI Reporting
- Utilise MicroStrategy to design, build and maintain insightful, impactful and user-friendly reporting suites and dashboards to drive data accessibility on a self-serve basis.
- Maintain and improve existing dashboards.
- Work with Japan HQ to ensure reporting is aligned with their requirements.
BI Engagement
- Run long-term engagement support & training with stakeholders to improve understanding of data and reporting and ensure maximum value is obtained from the work you and the wider team have created.
- Interact with a range of stakeholders to understand business needs and provide solutions.
- Become a champion in driving MicroStrategy usage across the business.
Data
- Deeply understand our data and company business model.
- Work with the Business Intelligence team to collate data from multiple different sources and create derived metrics.
- Scrutinize data to ensure data quality and integrity.
Ad-hoc
- Conduct ad-hoc reporting and analysis to serve specific requests and needs of the business.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Specific Skills Required
- Highly numerate.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills with experience working with large volumes of data.
- Great presentation/data visualisation skills. Able to transform data into digestible information and insights.
- Familiarity with BI tools or eagerness to learn.
- Financial and commercial acumen.
- Strong interpersonal & relationship-building skills to assist the process of gathering & communicating requirements from/to stakeholders both in person and remotely.
- Clear communicator, both written and verbal.
Qualifications
- Most likely a graduate with 1-2 years+ work experience and numeric/analytical background.
